Meet The Team

Meet the Kenilworth Vets Team!

Hello, I’m Anira, veterinary surgeon and the proud founder of Kenilworth Vets. I have long held the dream of opening my own independent veterinary practice right at the heart of our local community. Together with my brilliant team, I can’t wait to welcome you and your pets through our doors.

Meet the team below!

Anira

Veterinary Surgeon

I’ve wanted to be a vet for as long as I can remember, and I’ve now been living that dream for over 20 years. I qualified in South Africa in 2001 and worked there for a year before moving to the UK.
I’ve worked in a wide range of practices across the Midlands from charity clinics to emergency centres. My true passion lies in the operating theatre and I hold an extra qualification in small animal surgery. Outside of work, I’m a mum of two boys, who you will no doubt see around the practice! We also have a gorgeous (lazy) cat called Peach. I can’t wait to meet you and all your lovely pets!

Toni

Head Veterinary Nurse

I trained to be a veterinary nurse a little later than most, first pursuing a degree in English and then travelling the world, but I’ve always loved animals from the moment I was old enough to look after my first pet hamster!

I’ve kept lizards, rescued guinea pigs, raised pigeons, bred snails, dove with Manta rays the size of dinner tables and spent days observing humpback whales!  No matter what the size, scales, fur or feathers I’ve always respected and loved animals. I’ve always thought animals as pets are the ultimate luxury, they never asked to be ours; so they deserve the very best lives we can give them, and I look forward to giving them the very best care I can as their veterinary nurse.

Ursula

Veterinary Nurse

I have been fortunate to have been nursing since I left school. After qualifying as a veterinary nurse I went on to complete the RCVS Advanced Diploma in Surgical Nursing, theatre is where I love to be.

I have spent the majority of my nursing career working for animal charities, this is something that I continue to do part time. I have recently taken on a gorgeous cocker spaniel named Fred, his antics keep me on my toes!

I am very excited to be joining such a great team. I look forward to meeting you, and all of your pets soon.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and travelling when ever I get the chance.

Vicky

Veterinary Nurse

I have been a qualified and registered veterinary nurse since 2004. I have always wanted to look after animals ever since I was a little girl. I am looking forward to getting to look after all the lovely pets of Kenilworth!

My favourite place is to be in the operating theatre as I have a keen interest in anaesthesia and theatre practice. I do also enjoy seeing everyone’s animals for nurse appointments and healthcheck-ups. I live at home with my young family and 2 working police dogs. Bourbon our cocker spaniel and Effie our springer spaniel. I am a bit of a bookworm and enjoy leisure time at the gym.

Jess

Veterinary Nurse

I have wanted to be a veterinary nurse ever since I was a little girl. I have been qualified since 2021 and I am passionate about advocating for my patients. I have a keen interest in neonatal care and i regularly hand rear kittens.

I also have a soft spot for the older patients, trying to make their stay as comfortable as possible. I have two rescue dogs, Koda & Mabel as well 5 guinea pigs. Plus there is always at least a couple of tiny kittens hanging around too! I look forward to meeting all of your lovely pets!
